So I’m having a little party for my birthday. Thanks to the good people at the Tavern, R.O.B., So Good Entertainment and Justin Springer for opening their doors. Live performances from Amandi Music, City Slickers and Dre Robinson backed by a band. Then the PD of Hot 97 Boston, the Heavy Hitter DJ Chubby Chub, takes over to kill the turn tables. That combined with a bunch of my rapping friends and nothing but fun can be had.

Here’s the raw footage from my interview with DJ Chubby Chub (@DJ_CHUBBY_CHUB), Program Director of Boston’s new Hot 97. I did this in Fall ‘09. In the wake of my talk with Rakim (which we will post soon), I figured I’d let this one live too. I’m working on getting more for the new year. Hopefully my on-camera game will improve. Cross your fingers.
Anyway, we talked about everything from his international touring (djing with Kelis on the Britney Spears tour) to Boston’s artists. I had my man Joe Politics on the camera, as Chub just kept it all the way 100. We basically went in on everything. The camera work was a little shaky but it was mos def a good conversation.
I had to make up for all that extra R&B earlier. HA!
This town has some real talent and we’re committed to telling you a little story about where we come from. That said here’s something from my mans and them, Capital J of the City Slickers. A little lyrical exercise before the new mix tape Hurry Up & Wait. Yeah we know they are down with us. We also believe in nepotism. (But hey at least we tell you.)

The Pollymore Team is just starting what we call “Summer Madness”. A whole lot of good music coming your way. I may even purge the hard drive with some classic joints too. I pride myself on being able to exist and embrace in a few different areas. I am equally at home at the Hip Hop Unity Fest and the BCN Rumble. I respect this dude’s grind like crazy. Everywhere I am at, he is at. In the clubs, at the shows and online, dude is everywhere spreading the gospel of VS. And not just because he is trying to grind. He is out there cuz thats his life.
