So I’m having a little party for my birthday. Thanks to the good people at the Tavern, R.O.B., So Good Entertainment and Justin Springer for opening their doors. Live performances from Amandi Music, City Slickers and Dre Robinson backed by a band. Then the PD of Hot 97 Boston, the Heavy Hitter DJ Chubby Chub, takes over to kill the turn tables. That combined with a bunch of my rapping friends and nothing but fun can be had.
Of course since we are about music, I wanted to give yall a little. The good people at Pollymore music along with Thats Major put together a compilation of the performing artists. Favorite joints from Dre Robinson, Amandi and City Slickers. Download and enjoy!
The tracks keep coming from the dude Drizzy. Couple of real heaters on here. The album is STILL on the way. I dont know if this dude is waiting for a personal invitation or what. Lets get it.

So what do you do when you can rap and sing pretty damn well?
Well if your singer/writer/producer Novel you rap and sing.I mean why not? Then you call up a couple friends like Joell Ortiz and Ghostface to get on a couple tracks and make a pretty damn good mixtape to preview your album The Autobiography.
yeah so I have been out of pocket lately. A lot going on with me. Good things. Just bounced from the plantation so big tings a gwaan. Watch how we turn it up. I mean why not? Hope this makes up for it. Rock out with Mike. The team at Cooking Soul always bring something crazy to the table. The wild part is this is the type of thing they might have done without Michael’s passing.
Shout out to our brother Brandon (@ShowoffBoston) for the connect. Get well soon.
I am MAD late with this one y’all. My bad. Jermaine Dupri got his crew together to make a super group. Everybody even gets a cool nickname. Dupri (The General), singers/songwriters Usher (Delight) & Trey Songz (Songz 00711), Grammy winning songwriter Johnta Austin (J. Sinatra), music producer Bryan-Michael Cox (The Texas Ranger), and rappers Nelly (Mo Green) & Tyrone Davis (Intynational). They even have their own web series, Livin The Life, that documents them living life. (I included an episode of JD making a beat.)
Now usually a super group is comprised of a bunch of successful cats that have banded together. Part of the selling point is that your favorite stars team up to bring you even MORE heat. That kinda happens here. Not to take from the resume of any of the participants. Dudes have HITS. But are they all stars in the public’s eyes? Not so much. Johnta & BMC made their names behind the scenes quite successfully. Trey Songz is about one hit away from pop stardom. So is Nelly. All that said. The music is kinda hot. Should get a few spins. “Owe Me Sex” is pretty mean. Enjoy.
R&B cats are going in with the mixtapes. For example Raheem Devaughn. Few weeks ago he was dropping a steady stream of track. Now he is back with another collection. Nice mix of records that probably wouldnt make his album. Definitely hot though. ENJOY
