If you don’t know Mick Boogie & Terry Urban, you need to. They have been crafting some of the best mixtapes of the last few years. They don’t just play and mix records. They reconstruct them. I have a couple more of their joints around here somewhere. Everyone of them restores my faith in Hip Hop. Give me a minute and I will post them.

With the Notorious movie coming out this week, Brooklyn has been heavy on my mind lately. I lived in Brooklyn for about a year and I loved it. There is a special energy there. The minute I arrived I felt like I was home.The fierce pride that people claim that spot is just like Boston. The same hard headed swagger that we don’t give a fuck where you from. The serious island influence that is on every corner. Carnival in Brooklyn is like no other. Brooklyn reminded me of home.
Jay Z decided to hold his man Big down with a tribute to the borough for the Notorious soundtrack. Once that beat was in the street you had to know Brooklyn was coming out. Fab jumped on the track. Then a couple of days ago Mos rocked a verse on it at a show. Here is all three.
